Before you apply

North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission requires the following be complete before this license can be issued.

  • North Carolina Commercial Oyster Boat Captain's License
  • NCDPH-certified vessel under the North Carolina Molluscan Shellfish Program
  • Limited-entry license tag transfer or new issuance under §76.0395
  • Pass a site inspection by a state or local health authority before opening to the public.
